Iris Luckhaus is a freelance Illustrator, Designer (MoD, Universität der Künste Berlin, fashion class Vivienne Westwood) and Stylist since 2000. And if that's a necessary part of projects, she sometimes works as an Author, Lector, Graphic Designer or Programmer as well. With Author Matthias Klesse, Iris Luckhaus invented the character Lily Lux. For the editor Hoffmann und Campe Verlag, she developped, wrote, drew and designed several books and even coded the project website. Her grand passion – next to drawing itself and strange researches that help her find out things she'd never found out otherwise – is visual storytelling, always with a friendly approach and often in details noone might see at first sight. The different fields she works in influence and inspire each other, and she enjoys the challenge of learning new things with every project – regarding drawing, techniques or content. She is a member of the Illustratoren Organisation e.V. and the European Illustrators Forum EIF and in the past, she worked as well as an instructress for Illustration at the UdK Berlin. In Anthologies as Illustration Now! or Illusive, she is featured as one of the "word's best illustrators". Iris Luckhaus is currently living in Wuppertal and Berlin and working for very different international clients, on- and offline. // Iris Luckhaus ist freie Illustratorin, Diplom-Designerin (Universität der Künste Berlin, Klasse Vivienne Westwood) und Stylistin seit 2000. Und wenn sich das innerhalb von Projekten so ergibt, ist sie manchmal auch Autorin, Lektorin, Grafikerin oder Programmiererin. Zusammen mit dem Autor Matthias Klesse hat Iris Luckhaus die Figur Lily Lux erfunden und für Hoffmann und Campe einige Bücher konzeptioniert, geschrieben, gezeichnet und bis hin zum Internetauftritt gestaltet. Ihre große Leidenschaft gilt – neben dem Zeichnen selbst und sonderbaren Recherchen, bei denen man Dinge erfährt, die man sonst nie erfahren hätte – dem visuellen Erzählen von Geschichten, immer liebevoll und gern mit Details, die sich erst auf den vierten Blick erschließen. Iris Luckhaus' unterschiedliche Tätigkeitsfelder ergänzen, beeinflussen und inspirieren sich gegenseitig, und sie genießt die Herausforderung, mit jedem Projekt weiter zu lernen – zeichnerisch, technisch oder inhaltlich. Sie ist Mitglied der Illustratoren Organisation e.V. und hat u.a. auch an der UdK Berlin Illustration unterrichtet. In Anthologien wie Illustration Now! oder Illusive wird sie als eine der "weltweit besten Illustratoren" vorgestellt. Iris Luckhaus lebt derzeit in Wuppertal und Berlin und arbeitet für die unterschiedlichsten Kunden aus aller Welt, und zwar meist online.
